Crazy about the crazy!

Finished this crazy quilt over Christmas. This is based on Molly Mine Crazy Quilt series 1. I love these combined appliqué and embroidery sets and will be ordering the Chritsmas series 1 shortly.

This is squarer than it looks in the photo - had a minor problem with the stabiliser curling. That's what this is all about - doing a Quilt and learning.

Have just started another Anita Goodesign embroidery set but have managed to break my embroidery machine so it is off to the repair shop on Thursday.

Thanks you for viewing my work.

And Happy New Year - I hope 2014 brings you everything that you wish for.

Lace bookmarks

I made these up just before Christmas. They are from Anita Goodesign mini collection "Lace Bookmarks".

Finished wedding quilt

Finished off the wedding quilt last weekend but we have been so busy getting ready to go away that I forgot to post a blog.

So here it is....Taa daaaa! Very pleased with the finished quilt.

The pattern is the Antique Butterflies pattern from Anita Goodesign except i have based the fabric selection on the colours of India.

I have always loved the elephants from the festival in Jaipur. The pictures that I have seen look amazing. Visiting India is on my bucket list. There is a quilt tour through India which looks amazing. One power ball.......

I have a days work to finish off the Molly Mine quilt which I will post when I get back in two weeks.

I have also started a quilt for my son using the Anita Goodesign Mariners Compass pattern. Only 120 squares to embroider and appliqué.

I have certainly found my "hot spot" with the embroidered appliqué patterns and designs. Just can't get enough of them.

See you soon.

Zipped iPad case

When I don't know what to do next, I make up an iPad case / bag / pouch.

Had some fun with this one with the appliqué / embroidered monogram (Anita Goodesign Curly Monogram).

What fun!

I have just finished the embroidery work on this and I am so pleased with the result.

It is based on "antique butterflies" by Anita Goodesign however instead of using pale antique colours I have opted more for "colours of India".

Will look at the binding and finishing next weekend.

I have recently subscribed to the Anita Goodesign embroidery package.

I found a niche that I enjoy which is the combination of appliqué and embroidery. Here is one that i completed this afternoon as a trial.

Till next time

Stitchy Sunday

Today has been a good day. Finished all the chores yesterday so spent all day today working on a few quilts.

I assembled the twenty sections that I have embroidered however I cannot decide on the border fabric. I started to embroider some corner sections but they came out too big which would mean that the border would be too wide and over power the rest of the quilt.

Here is the quilt so far.

This is my first blog using Blogsy so hope it reads ok.

Till next time....
